Art is deeply ingrained in me...even back to childhood. I've always tried to draw people, nature, animals, & objects. I tend to be an eclectic artist with subject matter & mediums. Painting one day in oil & another in acrylic, pastel pencils or pan pastels is not unusual; however, to find me playing in watercolor is no surprise either.
My subjects depend on my mood. I love animals, water scenes, still life, nature, spiritual themes, etc. I studied art at the University of Ky. & David Lipscomb University. John Hutcheson at DLC was wonderful & encouraging & I was blessed to have him as my first art instructor. The art community lost a great & inspiring teacher as he has since passed way. I acquired a teacher's certificate with a minor in art & became employed at Ferns Creek High School in Louisville, Ky. There I taught Jr. High & High School art.
Unfortunately, as time marches on people tend to postpone their dreams. A few years ago I picked my dreams back up & haven't put a brush down since! I hope you see something that "tickles your fancy" as I have enjoyed doing these pieces of art for myself & for you!
Thank you for visiting my website. You can contact me using the information below when you get your "fancy tickled" as I know you will!
